Made from scraps with my love

After successful Christmas charity quilt
http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=1625218322853&set=t.100000927858324&type=1&theater
made together in Patchwork BG - our Bulgarian patchwork team, we started a new project.
The block must be 25 cm square, no matter of the chosen technik - application, crazy, paper piecing, etc. The common condition is to show the favorite word.
I was wonder what to create and suddenly it happened. I decided to make my favorite - combining scraps in a square.
What about word? I hope that all we receive in this life - the good and the bad, is a destiny and every attempt to change it makes things go worse.
That's why I embroidered a word Destiny (in Bulgarian).

Moreover the patchwork is my destiny. I dedicate to it every free minute.
I can't wait to see others' blocks.

Laptop case for a friend

A friend of mine has a birthday and I had promised to make a case for his laptop.
I have chosen nice blue for outside and checked flannelette for inside, collected 3 layers and quilted.
Stitched velcro straps from recycled mittens and finished with binding.

Hope he will be happy with the case!

Patchwork Easter eggs - part two

The hexagon eggs I designed are very pretty, but it takes me 1 hour to complete one of them.
http://3patchcrafts.blogspot.com/2011/03/patchwork-easter-eggs.html
So I decide to make some eggs more quickly.
Cut some pieces from the fabric rests.

Then sew them two by two, filled with cotton and closed by hand stitches.

They look nice, don't they?
Together with hexagon eggs.

Happy Easter! Happy Easter! Happy Easter!

Easy gift decoration for every occasion

Simply and easy decoration of a basket. This time it was for a birthday present. You can use for any basket, even for Easter eggs basket.

You need color papers, scissors, tape (double sided), a basket.
Make a pattern for a heart, fold the papers and cut some hearts.

Cut two small strips and stitch on the first heart.
Remove the tape and stitch the second heart, folded in a half.
Repeat with all the hearts different colors. I choose 4, but you can use 5 or 6.

Leave the last two heart free. You will stitch them round the basket handle.
Make so many shapes as you like to cover the handle.

Then put inside a bottle of wine, different fruits  and your present is ready. Enjoy!

Simply Log cabin baby quilt

I have rests from previous baby quilt the same pattern, but now decided to try something different.
Inspired by one of the blogger I follow:
http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2011/03/5-reasons-to-love-modern-log-cabin-quilting.html

I cut the circles for the center of my Log Cabin, added some white stripes to separate from striped pattern.

Then an idea came into my mind - combining different direction of the stripes for the Log cabin. And it happens. See the result.

Now having my rest I am thinking about the back.
What will be the best choice?
